Martin Öhlin was the fastest driver in the Våler rain storm.
Now he is chasing the top of Carrera Cup Scandinavia.
– I will be in top five after this race weekend, he says.

Marin Öhlin got what he asked for at norwegian Vålerbanen, in splashing rainstorm he set the fastest lap time in heat one and got pole position in the drier heat two. In the heat of the fight with reigning champion Jocke Mangs he miscalculated a brake point and ended up in the sand pit.
– I simply got too hot, it´s hard to bring home any points from the sand pit…

Öhlin was overtaken in the overall standings by Jonas Gelzinis, now on 187 points, Öhlin is on 182. Team mate Tony Rickardsson is third in the championship on 249 points, second is Jocke Mangs on 261, chasing leader Christer ”Cralle” Lindholm on 264.
– Unfortunately I lost the connection to the top trio due to parking in the sand pit, my new target is to fight my way into top five. I will be in front of Gelzinis.
Immaculate weather observations is part of the preparations. And a large amount of rain dancing.
– I want rain. The track is hard with tight bends, which suits me perfectly. Now we just have to hope for a proper rain storm and this will be just fine, Öhlin says.
